We've been dancin' with...Mr. Brownstone!

Hello ladies! How is everyone doing today? Does anyone understand this post title? My boyfriend sings it ALL THE TIME. This one's dedicated to him :P

China Glaze Brownstone is a BEAUTIFUL fall color. It's a brownish burgundy cream that went on like BUTTA'. Like butta I tell you! This is two coats. Application on this seemed a little runny... I guess not necessarily the formula, but the brush picked up a LOT of polish every time. I had to remove almost all of it or it got really goopy and flooded my cuticles. Is there a more graceful way to phrase that? Do you guys know what I'm trying to say? Please say yes...

Then I stamped over it with a gold Sally Hansen pen and plate BM201.

I still have problems with stamping every now and then. My right thumb is the HARDEST fingernail for me to stamp on. Just look at this:

Hahahah. FAIL!!

That's all I have for you guys today. Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

"No mama, I didn't do nuffin!"

  2. Yes! I can't get this phrase out of my head from the first moment I saw this CG polish! Every time I see it - I can hear Axl Rose singing in my head! Thanks for sharing :>

  3. Beautiful colour, and great colour choice for stamping. I just bought some bundle monster plates and I have found that a lot of the 'full nail' plates seem to be designed for 4 year old size nails. haha.
I LOVE Mr Brownstone. My oldest daughter is in a band and she does a KILLER cover of that song.

  7. @Pam: Are they the old BM ones or the new ones? The older ones are definitely tiny, but they made the new ones a bit bigger so they're a little easier to use.

  8. I sure do love a good brown & this one looks like melted Hershey's bars - which are my favorite kind :) And I hate when I mess up on the stamping - especially on the thumb!

  12. Love this colour. I have it too and yet to try it. Your stamping looks great! The image looks really nice over the polish. I also struggle with my right thumb. I do and try and make sure my plate is really clean before stamping this hand and change the angle so that I'm putting my thumb onto the stamper and not the other way around. Does that make any sense whatsoever??! lol

  15. Oh gosh, I LOVE this. I think I need to nab a couple more polishes from this collection, sight unseen, because I can't seem to get over to Sally's to see if I *need* some of the cremes. This is a perfect shade for me, I'm glad you swatched it.
And now, that song will be stuck in my head all night! haha.
I love the stamping with this, too, by the way!
