Sally Hansen Feelin' Saucy fauxnad

So this color combination was inspired by my calender today.  It's a picture of a kitten playing with 4 balls of yarn - magenta, yellow, blue and red.  Unusual colors to use together but somehow they just worked!

I started with a base of Sally Hansen CSM in Feelin' Saucy, which is a gorgeous magenta color.  I don't know why I don't wear this color more often, when I applied it, I really liked it.  My bottle is a tad thin so I had to take care not to flood my cuticles.  It levels well, dries fast and is well pigmented.  I used 2 coats for opacity.

When my base was dry, I lightly sponged Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Lightening (sic) and Sally Hansen CSM in Right Said Fred and topped with 2 coats of Orly Shine On Crazy Diamond to give it just a touch of a holographic shimmer.  Then I stamped with a geometric pattern from Red Angel plate 114 and Konad special blue polish.  BTW - does anyone have any suggestions for a well pigmented medium blue stamping polish other than Konad?

This design somehow reminds me of the Autobot and Decepticon symbols from Transformers.

And here's a pic of Feelin' Saucy by herself.

Thanks for reading and have a great day!

  1. This mani is so much fun. It totally reminds me of a little ball of yarn!! I like Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Blue Me Away, but it's a little bright, so not quite a medium blue.. But it stamps pretty well. :) Good luck, and great mani!!

  2. Hahaha! I do the same thing every time I write about Lightening. I want people to know I can spell, but Sally made it confusing. :)

I love this mani! The sponging makes it look like some sort of matted flakes under the stamp.

  4. Hi!
I really love your nail art. You have nice skills.

But there is something that I reallllly have to say.
Why is right clicking on your pictures not allowed?
I love it to collect nail polish pic's on my computer for inspiration or show them friends or save them on my cell, to look at them when I am bored. When my friends ask: "OMG who's mani is it?" I just say: "Look at the watermark" or show them the persons blog.
Shame that I can not do this with your pictures :(
I mean they are watermarked. All the well known and popular blogs don't do this and this is the reason why I don't want to follow your blog, because I see adorable manis but I can not even save them! So sad.

    Please think about that.

    1. Hi Lala

I am assuming from the content of your comment that you already know why we have disabled right click on our site because you mentioned our watermark. Unfortunately, watermarking our photos does not always prevent unauthorized use of our intellectual property, as a few unscrupulous individuals and companies edit or crop out watermarks. This then becomes a problem when our work is being submitted to nail art competitions or posted on company websites without our knowledge or permission requiring us to then contact the proper authorities to get the copywrited images removed.

We are honored that you enjoy our work so much you want to save it; however, we have decided to adopt the "no right click" script to protect ourselves. We are sorry you choose not to follow our blog because of this, but it is a policy we feel strongly about and stand behind.
